Who We Are

PredictGeek is run by a dedicated team of writers and content creators with more than 10 years of combined experience covering industries that sit at the intersection of money, markets, and outcomes.

Before turning our full attention to prediction markets, we spent years embedded in the iGaming world, covering sports betting and the broader online gambling landscape for recognized media outlets serving both US and international audiences.

That background gave us something most prediction market writers simply don’t have: a deep, practical understanding of odds, risk, market mechanics, and how everyday people interact with these kinds of platforms.

We’ve also worked alongside editors and analysts with knowledge of trading and investment products, which means we can connect the dots between prediction markets and the broader financial world in a way that’s genuinely useful.

“When prediction markets started making headlines, we didn’t need to catch up. We’d been studying the ingredients for years. We just had a new recipe to work with.”

We launched PredictGeek because we saw a gap. A fast-growing space with little trustworthy, beginner-friendly content.

Most coverage was either too technical, too hype-driven, or written by people who had clearly never actually used the platforms they were writing about. We knew we could do better, and that’s the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

Why It Matters

Prediction markets went from a niche curiosity to one of the most important segments in finance and digital media. Total national trading volume across major US platforms surpassed $44 billion in 2025, up from under $100 million per month just two years earlier. Monthly active users grew from roughly 4,000 to over 600,000 in the same period.

Analysts believe the space could hit a trillion dollars in annual trading volume by the end of this decade. Major institutional players, including Wall Street exchanges and global investment firms, place serious bets on this industry’s future. And with topics ranging from political elections and economic indicators to sports and tech milestones, the scope of what you can trade on keeps expanding.

If you’re going to participate in this space, or even just want to understand it, you deserve content that actually explains what’s going on. That’s exactly what we’re here for.
